Sprinting north to get to Walsenburg- the weather forecast is changing from warm and dry to cold with precip. The first campground we head for is still closed for the season, so we head back south to try Lathrop State Park. We have the wind at our backs and Moya really scoots!
Stunning park, all but deserted. We get 6" of snow during the night and next morning- so glad we were tucked safe and warm in our campsite!

We end up staying about a week- when people start to fill up the campground we leave. Expensive at $27.night for electric only, but incomparable views. We enjoy Walsenburg as well.
