Balmorrhea SP, Texas 3/28/2012

This is a gorgeous park in south west Texas, with a famous spring-fed CCC built rock pool which was sadly closed while we were there.

Splendid scenic backdrop of the Davis Mountains.  Beautifully designed concrete pads and adobe shelters- Texas state parks rock!  $14/night plus we got a free night, W/E only.

We spent 4 nights here and we will definitely be back.

Made a day trip to Fort Davis Nat Park-  more wonderful scenery and an interesting stop at a gen-u-ine Reptile Museum.
